About Us

We believe that Maine's future depends on building and empowering a permanent progressive majority in order to strengthen the voice of our state's citizens. We strive to create a political environment in which progressives define the terms of the public discourse, and in which progressive values form the basis of public policy.

Our primary function is to support individuals and groups that are engaged in frontline fights around causes such as workers' rights, immigration, opposing racism, economic opportunity, health care reform and environmental protection.

What We Do

Build a stronger progressive movement. Maine's Majority works year-round and non-stop to create long-term capacity for Maine's progressive movement through an aggressive, multi-issue, media-savvy, messaging campaign. We work with and in support of other progressive organizations. Political campaigns come and go but Maine’s Majority’s commitment to the people of our state never ends.

Hold elected officials accountable. Maine's Majority challenges and corrects misinformation, and exposes special interest influence and abuses of power.

Empower the citizens of Maine. Maine's Majority is a member-driven organization that offers concerned citizens strategies to make their voices heard on critical public policy decisions that impact the quality of their lives. For general information contact us at info@mainesmajority.org.
